Not Much....
Ashley is excited to have her first loose tooth. I did not think the tooth was loose until I felt it that night and it was really loose! I thought all day she was faking that her tooth hurt. So she keeps playing with it, and maybe the tooth fairy and Santa might make appearances the same week at our house.
A cousin of mine got married this week. The bride was so kind to give Ashley her bouquet. Ashley wondered if a flower was going to be thrown, and it wasn't. So Ashley wanted to hold the bouquet, and the reception was almost over, and the bride asked if Ashley wanted it. WOW. That was VERY nice of her! She is my favorite cousin-in-law! VERY nice, plus a beautiful bride. Great dress.
Jimmy & I went to see the Twilight movie over the weekend. It was nice having a date with my husband, and enjoying a movie next to him. I liked the movie. I like almost any romance movie. We also had his company party last Friday. Nice time, and the babysitter that came over ROCKED.
So, not much going on.....but life is good.

Rest of California Trip

Friday we spent in San Diego. First we went to In-n-Out. We were there just a few minutes after opening.....YUM. Jimmy, my dad, and brother went on the US Midway ship. The ladies and kids went to the science museum in Balboa Park. It was fun to see the kids run around and try the different activities. They had fun at the little indoor store, with shopping carts, food, and a belt that moved the groceries along. It wasn't as tiring as Disneyland, and I didn't want to show up the fun we had there, so it was a lower-key/cheaper activity the kids had fun at. Sarah got lost in the museum, but she was found. There were some world globes around the park and the kids had fun looking at them, then posing for pictures with them.
Saturday we drove back......Charlie does not know how to sleep in. We hit the road at 7:15 am. It was a long drive back, but we made it. We got home after 8pm, so 12 hours going home. We made a few stops, and one was 45 min or so. The In-N-Out in Washington-good food yes, but CROWDED! what a joke! Line out the door. We cut in line with my parents who arrived 10 minutes before us. We got our food and ate it at a park. We didn't want to wait for a table.
It was a great trip. Lots of fun memories! Well worth it! We are almost recovered-laundry not done yet.....! Had to hit Jimmy's homework hard once we got home, so now I can finish the laundry. yikes!

More Disneyland
We spent the afternoon in California Adventure with everyone. I was there with the kids and my parents in the morning. There was a book signing at the park, and it was sold out. I did not know who the book signing was for. We were walking and hear a bunch of girls screaming. As we got closer to the crowd, we heard the Jonas Brothers were at California Adventure. TONS of girls, cell phones, and cameras taking pictures! The Jonas Brothers were there at the park for a book signing! I could see them through the crowd. They were far away, and moving away from us, but I saw the Jonas Brothers! I lifted the girls up, and I think they saw them. I did not have the camera ready, but later in line for the Toy Story ride I found some girls that were there for the books signing, and took a picture of their autographed book. WOW! 10-0 University of Utah Utes
Thursday night was a thrilling Utah victory against Texas Christain University. Utah won the game with a winning drive with the under 3 minutes of the game! Oh! My head hurt from screaming soo much! Whew! A victory! I've loved the football games with my hubby this year! Its our date, and its great! (ha that rhymes!)
I am luvin the #7 BCS ranked UTES! Here are a few pix from the game!! Beautiful cold football weather, but we bundeled up! Oh, the second best thing of the night (Utah's victory was the first) was the line for the MENS restroom. It was SOO LONG during half time! I've never seen so many men waiting to use the restroom! I couldn't tell what line was for the concessions and what line was for the MENS restroom! Ladies! That made me happy! *Oh there was NO line for the womens restroom at that time!
No smiles before the game! My husband just loves pictures!
I love the band!
Final score
No, we didn't storm the field! (not this time!)
Ahh! I get a smile! My husband is ready to smile after that stunning win!

Happy 90th Birthday Grandma B
I love how Grandma B loves my kids. My kids see her weekly, and almost every visit, they go sit on her lap, and she reads them stories. She invest time with my children that is priceless. The time she spends with them is only creating positive memories for my kids. She does little things likes shares her bananas, crackers, and muffins with my kids, which may sound small, but the little things in life matter.
Jimmy has a whole lifetime full of memories with his precious grandma. She took Jimmy on many trips and outings when he and his siblings were younger. He loves her, and I know it and see it often.
I LOVE YOU GRANDMA B, and I love the little visits, and the times we spend together.

Quirks
The Rules:
1. Link the person(s) who tagged you
2. Mention the rules on your blog
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
4. Tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them
My Quirks:
(I've been thinking hard about these)
1. I don't feel put together if I don't have ear rings in and my hair curled or straightened. Only exception is pony tail days. Even then I don't like scraggly ends.
2.I like to talk on the phone while doing dishes-unloading/loading the dish washer.
3. I like to iron. I don't mind it, but I only iron when I need to-I'll pull it out of the closet and iron it and wear it. I have ironed my kids clothes, and yes, of course, my hubby's.
4. I find my fingers moving to music as if they were playing notes on an instrument-not for all songs I hear, mainly songs I have or can see the sheet music on, or songs I used to play (from my band days).
5. While my garage is full of other junk, my surburban is parked outside. I have to make sure the vehicle is locked before I go to bed at night. I'll get out of bed to make sure its locked.
6. I love checking the mail! I try not to race out the second the mail man goes past, but I love getting the mail! I'll let my kids get the mail, but I have to be there so I don't miss anything!
Who(m?) to tag.....My two debbie's-burns & jorgensen, trisha, cassie, sadie, my two amy's-lund and miller, oh, and yes, crystal....and anyone else that can think of their fav quirks they would love to share with the blog world or anyone else that checks my blog!

Good Times
We've been busy. Lots of good times! Let's see how brief I can make the last couple of weeks.
For our anniversary, we were able to go out while Jimmy's parents watched the kids. We rode the FrontRunner train to downtown. We ate at Olive Garden, then went to the Gateway for some shopping. It was nice! Having no kids around for the evening is a treat!
Another Saturday, we rode the FrontRunner train into Salt Lake. We rode the train and the Trax up to the University of Utah to attend the Ute Fan Fest. We got a few pictures, and saw a few U athletes. It was hot, but I think the kids had fun. Then we rode Trax back downtown so I could watch Mamma Mia with Jimmys' mom and sister. Jimmy took the kids home, but came back in after we were done with the movie. It was a fun day using mass transit.
Everyone but Jimmy got sick in a week period. I am watching some kids a few days of the week, and getting use to that. Ashley has been off track, but is back in school now, and LOVES IT.
Jimmy is still playing hockey. We all attended a game a few weeks ago. Charlie and Sarah watched a lot of the game, almost half, and had so much fun cheering for daddy!
Football season is starting up, and we had a few people over to watch the Utah vs. Michigan game. We went out to dinner with some friends, yummy, and fun time.
So life is good and full of good things. Jimmy is still in school! Passing classes and trying to keep up with his two fantasy football teams.
We went to Layton Surf-n-Swim a Friday night. It was cool after the sun went down. I went in the water with the kids. Charlie didn't hang out long. He got out and sat with Grandpa Jack. Ashley didn't like being in the waves, but Sarah went out to the 6 ft. deep part with me and floated with the waves. Tough girl! It was fun, even if we were there about an hour or so.
We lost power at our house the Sunday of Labor Day. A nasty storm blew in, and our neighborhood lost power. Crazy storm. Labor Day we attended the Labor Day Car Show in Magna. The labor unions have a big party and we went out. My dad entered a car in the car show, and Jimmy's parents help run the car show, registration, and some Tshirt sales. It was a cold, wet morning, but it cleared up.
8 is Great
I wanted to scan in some of our wedding photos, but that hasn't happened yet! We were married August 18, 2000 in the Salt Lake Temple. We met in December 1999 on a blind date. The date went okay, and we began hanging out/dating in January. (It was easy for him-I stopped by his house after work. I lived in Kaysville, and went to school at the U and worked downtown!) We were engaged in May, and married in August.
Our 8 years together has been filled with many trips to California, camping around Utah, hockey games, a few movies, spending time with both families, work, school, kids, other sporting events, and many other great memories!
We are very happy to have each other. We are each others best friends. We've laughed, cried, and been angry at each other, but we are GREAT!
I am looking forward to anniversary #10-a trip somewhere-maybe Hawaii! :)

10 things a mom did today-TAG
Ten things a mom did today that nobody will notice....
1. Held the hair out of my daughters face as she threw up at 3:30am-Yup-sick kid, she was in our bedroom, on the floor and made the bowl.
2. Helped the other daughter get settled on our floor to sleep-she said her tummy hurt too-blanket, pillow, bowl. 5:00am
3. Re-set the alarm clock-I was not going running at 5:50. Sorry Darci!
4. Woke up enough to tell my hubby bye-as he went to work. 6:50 am
5. Fell back asleep-tried to get every minute I could until the kids were bugging me or each other too much for me to sleep!
6. Computer-facebook, blogs, email
7. Called to apologize to Darci for not running, and see how she was. hopefully we weren't contagious and share this bug with them! Our kids played yesterday....
8. Breakfast-all children wanted to eat-must be feeling better. Cleaned up when done.
9. Cleaned sink out-food down disposal.
10. Took the "throw-up" bowl away from charlie. He doesn't need to play with it.
I love being a mother. I am happy it is friday, it's been a busy week! I believe my kids or husband would notice what I do or not do everyday. They may notice if things feel good/right around the house, not specifically if I washed the food down the disposal.
Some days are better than others, for the kids and me, but right now, life is good.
Ok moms/friends/family! There are a few of you out there! Think of the things you've done today. maybe you can think of 10 things you've done that maybe no one notices....or does notice. Put them on your blog. If I need to tag people, I will!!

Love-a-Fair
When we got to the fair we headed to the animals first. The kids had fun looking at and touching some of the animals. We saw cows, goats, sheep, pigs, horses, and a lama. Ashley was so afraid of the animals. She was okay with looking at them, but did not want to touch them! Next we headed to the booths. We found the kids zone tent and spent some time there. Some moms stood in line for the kids to get a balloon. There was coloring, face painting, a sand box, cars for the kids to ride in, blocks to play with, and some games that involved cows (milking, toss the bean-bag, etc). It was a large tent, and all these activities were FREE! The kids could play while the moms sat. It was great! a good break to let the kids do what they wanted. Kids got balloon hats and then we moved on. We checked out the kids discovery tent. They had different activities in there, along with some animals-14 ft. snake, turtle, spiders, and more! By this time people were getting hungry. We didn't spend too much time here, but again, the stuff there was great! good for the kids to explore and play. I got some ice cream to hold my kids over, then went to see the bunny's, hens, some of the 4H displays, and vendors, and then home.
It was great! The kids had fun, and all of them behaved really well. Some ladies meet someone new, and the moms had fun chatting. We moved well as a large group, and shared keeping an eye on all the kids. It wasn't too hot, so it made it really pleasant. The fair was small, clean, and inexpensive. no rides-didn't even go there.....
Charlie fell asleep on the way home, and Sarah & I got a nap at home! YES!
It was a GREAT time! Planning on going next year! Pictures to come!

Exciting Sunday
Ashley was proud to show me she used a pen and wrote on her bunk bed. Time out......YUP! I don't think it will wipe off. The bunk beds weren't new, but still, bad choice. Random letters.
After the kids were in bed, I found some Blondie colored hair on the floor in the kitchen. Sarah cut her hair. I think it was in the front part of her hair, and I don't know when she did it. We got her out of bed and talked to her, and sent her back to bed!
The joys of motherhood!!
