Ok, I wanted to pick a day that was more interesting, but here is my day!
Ten things a mom did today that nobody will notice....
1. Held the hair out of my daughters face as she threw up at 3:30am-Yup-sick kid, she was in our bedroom, on the floor and made the bowl.
2. Helped the other daughter get settled on our floor to sleep-she said her tummy hurt too-blanket, pillow, bowl. 5:00am
3. Re-set the alarm clock-I was not going running at 5:50. Sorry Darci!
4. Woke up enough to tell my hubby bye-as he went to work. 6:50 am
5. Fell back asleep-tried to get every minute I could until the kids were bugging me or each other too much for me to sleep!
6. Computer-facebook, blogs, email
7. Called to apologize to Darci for not running, and see how she was. hopefully we weren't contagious and share this bug with them! Our kids played yesterday....
8. Breakfast-all children wanted to eat-must be feeling better. Cleaned up when done.
9. Cleaned sink out-food down disposal.
10. Took the "throw-up" bowl away from charlie. He doesn't need to play with it.
I love being a mother. I am happy it is friday, it's been a busy week! I believe my kids or husband would notice what I do or not do everyday. They may notice if things feel good/right around the house, not specifically if I washed the food down the disposal.
Some days are better than others, for the kids and me, but right now, life is good.
Ok moms/friends/family! There are a few of you out there! Think of the things you've done today. maybe you can think of 10 things you've done that maybe no one notices....or does notice. Put them on your blog. If I need to tag people, I will!!

Love-a-Fair
Friday I went to the Davis County Fair with some a ladies from my neighborhood. There were 8 ladies and 16 kids that went. What a group! (and I am sure I could have found more to come!!) It was a GREAT TIME!! VERY FUN!
When we got to the fair we headed to the animals first. The kids had fun looking at and touching some of the animals. We saw cows, goats, sheep, pigs, horses, and a lama. Ashley was so afraid of the animals. She was okay with looking at them, but did not want to touch them! Next we headed to the booths. We found the kids zone tent and spent some time there. Some moms stood in line for the kids to get a balloon. There was coloring, face painting, a sand box, cars for the kids to ride in, blocks to play with, and some games that involved cows (milking, toss the bean-bag, etc). It was a large tent, and all these activities were FREE! The kids could play while the moms sat. It was great! a good break to let the kids do what they wanted. Kids got balloon hats and then we moved on. We checked out the kids discovery tent. They had different activities in there, along with some animals-14 ft. snake, turtle, spiders, and more! By this time people were getting hungry. We didn't spend too much time here, but again, the stuff there was great! good for the kids to explore and play. I got some ice cream to hold my kids over, then went to see the bunny's, hens, some of the 4H displays, and vendors, and then home.
It was great! The kids had fun, and all of them behaved really well. Some ladies meet someone new, and the moms had fun chatting. We moved well as a large group, and shared keeping an eye on all the kids. It wasn't too hot, so it made it really pleasant. The fair was small, clean, and inexpensive. no rides-didn't even go there.....
Charlie fell asleep on the way home, and Sarah & I got a nap at home! YES!

Hair Cuts
This week, everyone, except Jimmy got a hair cut. I had my cut and colored. I had about 2-3 inches chopped off. I shaved Charlie's head. I cut it a little shorter than planned! It will grow out. The girls got their hair trimmed by Jimmy's mom. She does a fine job, and has more patience than I do. I just LOVE Sarah's hair cut. The girls each had 3 inches cut off. It was needed! (I need to get a better picture of Ashley's new cut up. It was pulled back in a pony tail.)

Exciting Sunday
Just a short note. The weekend was kinda quiet, but Sunday, each child did something I had to share! Charlie bit a kid in nursery. I was even in the room when he did it! He was frustrated that he didn't have the toy the other kid had.
Ashley was proud to show me she used a pen and wrote on her bunk bed. Time out......YUP! I don't think it will wipe off. The bunk beds weren't new, but still, bad choice. Random letters.
After the kids were in bed, I found some Blondie colored hair on the floor in the kitchen. Sarah cut her hair. I think it was in the front part of her hair, and I don't know when she did it. We got her out of bed and talked to her, and sent her back to bed!

Service
Everyday, I want to be a better person, and finally I was going to do some service in my ward! Enough about me and my schedule, I wanted/needed to serve. A family in the ward (who are University of Utah fans) had their 4th child about 2 months early. The baby has not been able to come home yet. They are a young family, like us, and I kinda know them. They needed help watching the older kids during the day so mom can go see the baby in the hospital. Someone had a sick kid, so at the last minute I got a call to ask if I could watch the kids. Plans changed when the baby developed an infection in the intestines and had to be transported to another hospital. The kids were going to their grandma's house then. So I wasn't going to have the chance to serve (and play).
I decided since I am going to Costco, I'll get the mom flowers and dinner, a frozen lasagna. I've had a kid in the hospital before (not the same type of situation), and I remember how hard it is juggling things around, and trying feeling like you have some control in life.
I took the flowers and dinner over with a note. I did not put our name on it, so it was a suprise. I tried to explain to the kids what we were doing, some service, but a secret service act. Ashley wanted to give something too, so she put a few toys in a bag, and she also gave it to the family. I hope they understand the thought behind the toy.
I didn't want the dinner to melt and go bad, so I asked the neighbor across the street from them to keep an eye out for them to come home.
The family got everything, and so far, they don't have a clue it was us. My children have been really sweet and included their family in our prayers, hoping the baby will get better.
It has been a good thing to add into our life. I am happy we did the service. I don't do enough, so I was happy to do this and include my children.
CHALLENGE-DO SOME SERVICE! you've read this, and you know you can do something, so DO IT! You can do it. Think about someone else-besides yourself and your family. It does good for you and them!

Cousins
We went up to my parents on Sunday for dinner. My grandparents were invited along with my cousins from Colorado. They were camping up and Pineview, and they haven't gone home because some of the kids had EFY and camps at BYU. So we played with the camera that night, and here are some pictures of my cute teenage cousins! *I am happy to have a picture of me taken!! From my blog, you can tell that doesn't happen much!

Kindergarten
Ashley started Kindergarten at Woods Cross Elementary. Ashley has afternoon kindergarten and we live far enough from the school to ride the bus. Ashley has two friends in her class, twin girls that live across the street, Erica and Margot. It is fun to see them get on and off the bus together and hear them talk about school. Sarah & Charlie enjoy going to the bus stop too. Ashley is excited for Kindergarten! She is having fun learning, and playing. And it is nice to have her out of the house! Her class is learning colors the first weeks of school, and it has been fun dressing in the color of the day. Sarah wants to dress in the color of the day too. Ashley is the tallest at the bus stop, and there are a bunch of kids in afternoon kindergarten. We go "off track" for three weeks, and will start back up in September! Sarah will start preschool then! She is excited for preschool!
