Jimmy's Grandma Burns passed away.

Obituary

Family gathered to celebrate her life and what she meant to us! We love her. Jimmy was very close to his Grandma. My children spent time reading to Grandma after school the past few years. After Jimmy's Aunt Mary passed away, two of the kids would enjoy eating Sunday dinner with her. These are just some of the special memories we have with her. Grandma B was a good woman!  

 

 

Fall Hike

During Fall Break, we found a little hike to go on in North Salt Lake! (I will have to edit here when I remember the name!) It ended up being a little over 3 miles, but hard enough for the kids! Uphill's and downhill's.

New adventures hiking! New scenery! Accomplishing something difficult. Being together. Realizing flying/jumping lady bugs were annoying! 

Only time!

This will be the ONLY time these four kids will be in school at the same time! 6th, 4th, 2nd and Kindergarten! Mornings are crazy getting them all out the door at the same time. Its exhausting. Maybe some arguing happens. Often, I love sending them out the door and love even more welcoming them home at the end of the day!

4x everything-homework, fundraising, Box Tops collecting. Thankful flyers come via email now so we don't get 4x those papers coming home!  

 

 

Spring time

Who is ready for spring time? Trips to the parks! Soccer games! Baseball games! Whew! Hope we survive a busy spring!

Old Spaghetti Factory

Finally used a gift card one night Jimmy was out of town in March. Oh, wait. That was the gift card Jimmy got for graduating college....back in....2010! Well he was nice to share it with us! With a few free kids meal coupons, a new exciting place with cool decor, and  we enjoyed a night out! Good behavior, good food, and a guy came around and did balloon animals! Sweet! Happy night!

Hat Day

Hat day at school! Sophie had to put on a hat for the picture and join in. The kids loved wearing Dad's hockey hats to school. They look kinda cute with the flat brimmed hats.

Family time aka Super Bowl Sunday

We enjoyed a simple family gathering at Jimmy's brothers house on Sunday. Oh yeah, there was a football game to watch too.
The funniest thing that happened was Mr. James (Jimmy's nickname) conquered the drafty fireplace. Joe's house has a gas fireplace that is not in use. The fireplace allows air to flow into the family room. When the outside temperature is around freezing, it gets cold in that room! Jimmy was determined to plug up the hole to stop the draft, so he did. As simple as shoving an old towel in the hole! Go Jimmy. We watched the rest of the game in comfort and more warmth! Too bad the score was cold for the Broncos, but we still enjoyed at good & casual evening in Utah County!
Snacks, football Jello helmets, baby cousin Zippy, some puzzles & games. Oh, and Josser the dog! Forgot a picture of him!

PLAY DAY!

No school! Time to use a Christmas gift for the first time! Pass of All Passes got us into the Grizzlies hockey game free yesterday! Even better-friends came along! But sadly, Jimmy had to work. No hockey for him. We left before the game was over, and walked across the street to Hollywood Connection. $2 a person (with our pass) got us 4 hours of unlimited fun. Again, FRIENDS made the difference! Some kids wanted to ride certain rides, some wanted to mini golf, some wanted to skate. We were there with a large group and we enjoyed seeing each other as we came and went from event to event. It was so much fun. Kids had a blast! My favorite thing-Rollerskating! I have more pictures I can't wait to see on my camera! Can't wait for more adventures with our Pass of All Passes this year!

Blogging out 2013 from my phone

I always have my phone on me, so I always take pictures on it. I am getting slower at blogging, so maybe 2014 can be full of more pictures documenting the happy moments of 2014!

FAMILY Pictures~FINALLY!

We finally got together to have family pictures! Thanks to Sherri we have some good looking family pictures! Very happy with how the pictures turned out. When I look at the expressions on my kids' faces, I laugh. I wonder what they are thinking, but yet, know what they are thinking. I have seen those expressions many times! Their eyes and faces tell you so much about them! Fun colors, pretty back drop in the International Peace Gardens in Salt Lake. Just a few.....Its hard to choose, love them all! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 One family picture is finally up on the wall in our house! Sophie is happy to see herself in the family picture, as the one on the wall was from 2008!! (We've had pictures 2 other times, but haven't had pictures printed up!)
