He struck again!

Charlie! Well, this one was cute. I have some stamps and ink pads and I pulled them out for the kids and a neighbor friend to play with them. Charlie had stamps but I guess got bored with them, and put ink on his hands and then on the paper. It was cute, and the ink didn't get anywhere else besides him and the paper.

Charlie looked so cute going outside today with no pants, big boy underwear, and his boots.
Sarah joined him once she saw me run outside with the camera.

Ashley lost a tooth!

Ashley lost her first tooth in January! It was loose for a couple of weeks. Finally, Grandpa Burns pulled it out. Ashley didn't even know he got it out! Grandpa quickly slips Jimmy the tooth, and it took a couple of seconds for Ashley to realize he got it out. It bled for a little, but Whaoo for Ashley. It was a Sunday night and we were at Jimmy's brothers house when it happened. Tooth Fairy came, and it was exciting!

James Charles Burns!!!

One week, Charlie was really giving me a headache! BOYS! What do I do with him? Here are a few of the highlights from the week. Yes, things could have been worse!

Charlie had taken the bag of Marshmallow Maties and dumped the bag the carpet in my bedroom. This is a bad picture, cause this is what the vacuum had to get. I cleaned up the rest.

I have a lock/clip I put on the fridge to keep Charlie out. I didn't lock the fridge one time, and discovered Charlie had gotten out the chocolate syrup and decided to decorate this Tinker Bell floor rug of the girls. Very creative boy, but it stained the rug.

Next........

We had hot chocolate the day before and I left the can on top of the counter. Charlie got it out one morning..... and see below.

Ahh, it was a good flavor too.

We decided to see if Charlie was interested in using the potty. We pulled it out, bought him big boy underwear and candy for the bribe. He's been off and on about going potty. We are trying, and hmm. We will see if it really sticks and works. We are trying this pretty early. Hopefully it won't hurt anything to try so early.

Ahh, but he is a cute boy, a mama's boy! and I love him!

Santa, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Sugar Bowl

We saw Santa at the Ward Christmas breakfast. I thought the lines were long at Disneyland for rides, but I think my ward topped those lines! This was the first year Sarah was not afraid of Santa, but Charlie was. That was our only Santa visit.

Christmas Eve, the kids were asleep and we were getting things ready. Charlie was asleep on our bedroom floor, and started crying. Jimmy went up to see what was wrong, and discovered Charlie was sick.......Jimmy's foot found a little surprise from Charlie. Charlie had an upset stomach, and had been eating junk all day. YUCK. I got the mess cleaned up, and Charlie threw up a time or two more, but we didn't let it damper our Christmas. We opened presents at our house, and Jimmy's folks came down to watch. We went to my parents around lunch time, then to the Burns' house for the evening. It was a nice Christmas. We enjoyed seeing family, and the kids loved the day.

We were excited to have an invitation to a New Years Eve Party! Whahoo! We went to a Matt & Nikki's house. Matt & Jimmy go way back.....Matt lived at Jimmy's parents house for a while. We see them at hockey, and other times. They have children, and a very nice house, so the kids played, we ate, and the adults just chatted. It was a trip down memory lane for some of the guys as they pulled out pictures from the past! Wow. It was a great night. Charlie fell asleep by 10, but the girls stayed up till midnight!

New Years Day one of Jimmy's cousins was in town, and we met them for breakfast. We had yummy waffles at Jimmy's parents, and the kids ran around and played. It was great! It was a joy to see Brandy and Drew. Our girls had fun playing together, and we just relate to Drew & Brandy. It was great!

The holiday fun was capped off with a party at our house to watch the Sugar Bowl. We were thrilled to have some friends come over! We had 12 adults and 13 children at our house. We ate, watched the games, and the kids did not trash the house! wow. LOVE THE UTES!! The game was great! wow. We were thrilled they won and enjoyed having friends over!
GO UTES!! SUGAR BOWL CHAMPS!

Lots of good times. Now we are back to school, Sarah-preschool, Ashley-afternoon Kindergarten, Jimmy-Employment Law class at U of Phoenix. I watch a few kids during the week, and my womens volleyball team just started back up last night! Go Chickas! (we lost but had a BLAST!) It is now college gymnastics season, and we attended our first meet Jan. 9th. Jimmy's hockey is back in action, and we have lots of things keeping our schedule full this month.

Not Much....

Not much going on here at the Burns' home. We are slowly getting ready for Christmas. Still some shopping to do. Jimmy changed jobs last month. He is happier where he is at, and is keeping busy. Jimmy also completed his first online class. It was hard adjusting to the work load associated with that class. I spent LOTS of time doing homework!! OH! It finished last Saturday, and WE got a B out of the class. WHEW!
Ashley is excited to have her first loose tooth. I did not think the tooth was loose until I felt it that night and it was really loose! I thought all day she was faking that her tooth hurt. So she keeps playing with it, and maybe the tooth fairy and Santa might make appearances the same week at our house.
A cousin of mine got married this week. The bride was so kind to give Ashley her bouquet. Ashley wondered if a flower was going to be thrown, and it wasn't. So Ashley wanted to hold the bouquet, and the reception was almost over, and the bride asked if Ashley wanted it. WOW. That was VERY nice of her! She is my favorite cousin-in-law! VERY nice, plus a beautiful bride. Great dress.
Jimmy & I went to see the Twilight movie over the weekend. It was nice having a date with my husband, and enjoying a movie next to him. I liked the movie. I like almost any romance movie. We also had his company party last Friday. Nice time, and the babysitter that came over ROCKED.
So, not much going on.....but life is good.

Rest of California Trip

Thanksgiving Day
We went to Downtown Disney to do a little shopping, then drove to Oceanside to meet up with my brother. We had Thanksgiving dinner at Hometown Buffet. Umm, yeah, won't do that again. It just wasn't the same, but it was food, there was a variety, kids liked it, I think, but not the same as a home cooked meal.

Friday we spent in San Diego. First we went to In-n-Out. We were there just a few minutes after opening.....YUM. Jimmy, my dad, and brother went on the US Midway ship. The ladies and kids went to the science museum in Balboa Park. It was fun to see the kids run around and try the different activities. They had fun at the little indoor store, with shopping carts, food, and a belt that moved the groceries along. It wasn't as tiring as Disneyland, and I didn't want to show up the fun we had there, so it was a lower-key/cheaper activity the kids had fun at. Sarah got lost in the museum, but she was found. There were some world globes around the park and the kids had fun looking at them, then posing for pictures with them.

Saturday we drove back......Charlie does not know how to sleep in. We hit the road at 7:15 am. It was a long drive back, but we made it. We got home after 8pm, so 12 hours going home. We made a few stops, and one was 45 min or so. The In-N-Out in Washington-good food yes, but CROWDED! what a joke! Line out the door. We cut in line with my parents who arrived 10 minutes before us. We got our food and ate it at a park. We didn't want to wait for a table.

It was a great trip. Lots of fun memories! Well worth it! We are almost recovered-laundry not done yet.....! Had to hit Jimmy's homework hard once we got home, so now I can finish the laundry. yikes!
