How to Train Your Dragon & Train Adventure

Jimmy's brother Joe, and his wife, Debbie, were in town from Baltimore. We decided to go see a movie, so we rode the FrontRunner and Trax train into the Gateway to see How to Train Your Dragon. LOVED the movie! Kids did good during movie. Sophie and Charlie and maybe Sarah fell asleep during it. Ashley got startled a few times, popcorn flew, but we liked it.

(Trax train)
FrontRunner train ride home after the movie.
(We rode in one of the older train cars from back east-which was cool inside until...see below)
Its all fun and games until you CAN'T GET OFF THE TRAIN!
The Woods Cross station came & went....and we were still on the train. We tried to get out-pushing the little green button, but the door didn't open. So we continued onto the Farmington station, GOT OFF the train, waited 35+ minutes for a train to go back south. We caught the train, and learned a lesson, and made it home~Finally~
Here we are at the Farmington Station. We did laugh about it & the weather was decent so we survived.

Gatrell Family Easter Egg Hunt

My mom's side of the family gathered for an Easter Egg Hunt. Its fun for my Grandparents to see their many grandkids and great grandkids. This isn't even half of them......There were 4 generations here. The sun was out, and we enjoyed a pot luck after. It's always fun to see family!
(I didn't forget to take a picture of Charlie-He wasn't here. Charlie spent the night with Grandma & Grandpa Burns with cousin Cooper.)

Utah Gymnastics

Ashley, Sarah, and I have gone to all the Utah Gymnastics meets this year. Jimmy, Sophie and Charlie went to a few also. The last one was Senior Night. Here are some pix from the meet.

Soccer Season

Ashley & Sarah have started soccer back up for the spring.
After a pre-season soccer clinic by the Woods Cross High Boys Soccer Team, games started up.
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays will be spent at the soccer fields!

My kids + friends at the WX soccer/football field.

Ashley scored a GOAL at her soccer game! WOW! (I got my money's worth out of that soccer clinic!) Its her first goal in a long time! She also got an assist that game (the shot would have gone in the net except one of her team mates tipped it in) GO ASHLEY! We were so happy for her!! She was so excited too! Her team played well, and their coach is awesome!

Sarah works hard at soccer too. She runs up and down the field. Her goal will come soon!

Go Sarah!

Sarah's Birthday Party

Sarah turned 5 years old the beginning of March. My kids get a birthday party with friends starting at age 5 and then on the odd years. Sarah is such a nice girl & has so many friends. I didn't want to leave anyone out & Sarah & I invited just about everyone!

PlayDoh was the king of the party! Here is the collage from the party!
22 kids (including Sarah & Ashley)

It was crazy but fun. No one cried, got lost, or had an accident. My mom was there to help, and oh, it was a huge help to have her there!!

Valentines Date

Jimmy & I went out for Valentines Day. I got tickets to the movie "Valentines Day". Babysitter plans changed, so we ended up taking Sophie with us to the movie, while the other 3 kids were tended by a neighbor girl. We rode the FrontRunner train into Salt Lake, made it to the movie, watched the movie, caught the Trax right after the movie got over, then rode the train home. It was nice to get out, and Sophie was great during the movie. She fell asleep!
Here are the pix from our date!
Sophie LOVES when her dad wears a hat! (And Jimmy ALWAYS wears hat) She gets her little hands on the hat, then gets her mounth on the brim and she chews. It is so cute!
Here is Sophie & Jimmy on the train.

(The beanie Sophie has on is one we bought at Alcatraz 8 years ago-before we had ashley!)
